This simple, quick recipe will surely be a delight for your whole family. Don't forget to top off a slice with your favorite Irish butter. Let's get to it, then!</p>

<h2>Ingredients</h2>

<li>3 1/2 cups of flour</li>
<li>1 3/4 cups of buttermilk</li>
<li>1 tsp of salt</li>
<li>1 tsp of baking soda</li>

<ol>
<li>Preheat your oven to 425 first</li>
<li>Grab a large mixing bowl</li>
<li>Toss in your dry ingredients</li>
<li>make a claw and mix well with your fingertips</li>
<li>Go ahead and add the buttermilk</li>
<li>Without delay, mix it up with your claw in a circular motion until it is a dough.</li>
<li>take it out and plop it on flour-dusted parchment paper or right on your counter</li>
<li>Don't knead the dough just make it round and flatten it to about and inch - inch 1/2 thick</li>
<li>take a knife and make an cross over the top about 1/2 way in.</li>
<li>Get that sucker into the oven on a dusted baking sheet right away</li>
<li>Bake for 20 minutes or so.</li>

That's about it. Piece of cake (or bread, rather). Serve it will cold or melted Irish butter. Personally I like my butter cold with cinnamon and sugar! Happy St. Paddy's Day.
